Happy Monday pretties. I hope you’ve had a lush weekend.
Today’s post is another monthly favourites and there’s some goodies in here. There’s some makeup, vegan snacks, a book recommendation and homeware. I’ve been loving these new finds this month so hopefully there’s something in here that you huns will like too. As always I’ll link the products down below for you.
Makeup:
Now this stuff! This ‘Face Base’ primer has really changed the game for me. It’s so moisturising and kind of plumps my skin. It also minimises my pores slightly and also smells incred! It has like a turkish delight + citrusy kind of scent and I’m so here for it. It is on the expensive side don’t get me wrong, but you only need a small amount and I can see this lasting me a good while. I was lucky enough that when I bought this there was a deal on Debenhams where if you spent over a certain amount on makeup you got £20 off. I mean I couldn’t resist that deal.
I have wanted this blush for the longest time. I went through a phase where I would never ever wear blusher but now I literally can‘t go without it when I do my makeup. Before buying this blush though I was using the Milani Baked Blush in shade Luminoso for a while which I still love and definitely recommend! It’s super pigmented and has a gorgeous peach shade to it. But I felt like treating myself to this Nars one and I’m so happy I did. It gives this beautiful wash of peachy pink which has a subtle glow to it. I find it blends very nicely with my makeup and gives such a lush finish. Blush babes it’s definitely a good investment if you’re considering it.
Vegan Snacks:
I’ve recently started doing this one day a week vegan thing which ngl I could never go fully vegan but fair play to anyone who is. I mean I wanted to make sure that the one day I was eating vegan I was eating clean but when I visited Holland and Barrett I couldn’t resist picking up some ‘naughty’ ish snacks. Some of the things I picked up were vile to be completely honest but here are some of my favourites from the little haul I did. Nomo Fruit & Crunch Choc Bar - this tastes exactly like normal chocolate and the fruit and crunch bits just make this top tier chocolate for me. Like I would honestly go for this even if I wasn’t on my vegan day because it has no diary and the sugars are also low. 10/10
Doisy & Dam Ballers - these I got because they obvs reminded me of malteasers. They have dark chocolate though which I found most of the vegan chocolates I picked up were. I mean the chocolates slightly on the bitter side but I mean it’s not the worst. 8/10
Doisy & Dam Buttons - these are the same range as the ones above and also have that slightly butter taste to the dark chocolate. I do really like dark chocolate so I thought these were really nice but I’d say definitely check the packets if your not a lover. I put a few of these in my porridge one morning with some strawberries and it was honestly amazing. 9/10
H&B Soya & Chickpea Popped Bites - BBQ + Sweet Chilli - Wow now these are possibly my favourite vegan crisps atm and I mean I never thought I’d say that because I am a veggie straws fan. Both flavours are so good but I’d have to say BBQ is the best of the two. I’m sure they also did a salt+vinegar flavour too but that’s just not a bit of me so I only tried these too. They’re also super cheap too which is another bonus. 10/10
Book Recommendation:
My auntie recommended this book to me and I’m so thankful that she did. I’m really into the mindset of you have to work hard for what you want and only you can make sure you get to where you want to be in life. This book goes through how to change your life, mindset, habits, failure, etc. Without giving any spoilers it goes through the barriers to change like the ’Negativity Default’, procrastination and how to visualise yourself doing the things you want to accomplish. Honestly if your into manifestation, creating positive behaviours or finding a purpose then this book is definitely a must read for you.
Homeware:
I am obsessed with IKEA atm if you don’t already know. The ‘kallax’ series is perfect for storage and comes in a few different colours. Also, the amount of different inserts you can get is incred! Mirrors, drawers, boxes, it’s so good! On my recent ikea trip I picked up the drawers and I’m loving them. Plus, I love building the stuff hehe. Definitely worth a look huns.
These cushion covers are simple but so cute! There’s so many colours and the size is perfect for me. I got the INNER cushion inserts and they are so comfy, plus an absolute bargain. I’ve got the white ones on my bed atm (basic biatch I know) and I’m in love with the vibes.
That‘s all for my July favourites guys and gals. Sorry I‘m a few days late hehe, I’m loving having a little bit more to do now that there’s a slight bit of normality coming back our way. I hope you’re all staying safe and have a good week.
