Hi and welcome, or hopefully welcome back to my blog.
I hope your all doing well and keeping yourselves safe. I honestly can't believe how quick this month has gone like um, how is it even June on Monday?? I'm finding that keeping myself busy is definitely helping me get through this time. Plus, I'm getting into the groove with posting weekly now and I'm genuinely loving this. Also, a huge thank you to you all for reading my posts. I hope you are all enjoying reading them as much as I'm enjoying writing them for yous. Anyways, I've decided to try and do a monthly favourites section on here so that I can let you in on my new finds that I have tried and fallen in love with. So, let's jump right in and get started with this month's faves.
1. Eyelash Lifting Kit
Tbh, this was supposed to be an April fave but miss snowflake over here chicken’d out of the blog life a few times. So, I had to make sure it’s a part of my May favourites because this kit is amazing! I first did this right at the beginning of April and didn’t have to re-do it until 6 weeks later. I am amazed by this kit and definitely recommend purchasing this during your next Amazon haul. My eyelashes literally look so long and lifted and when I put mascara on, WOW. It looks as if I have false lashes on, and I love it. I honestly think it’s such a bargain for how many uses you can get out of it. I have now done it twice and I'm still in love. I've put the before and after pictures below for you to see the difference. I've managed to get my auntie and my besties on this hype and I'm so glad they're loving it too.
2. Blue Light Reflecting Glasses
Now, these! These have helped a lot with headaches for me. I suffer with headaches and also migraines every so often but (touch wood) I haven't had a migraine since purchasing these. I was talking to my family about how I'd read up on how blue light reflection off laptop screens, phones, tv's etc can cause trouble for a lot of people. Things like headaches, finding it hard to get to sleep at night and quite a few other things too. Soon after all the ads on my phone were for blue light reflecting glasses (I get so freaked out when this happens haha). I then started looking into the glasses and which ones I liked. I was in the middle of doing an Amazon haul so thought why not get a pair off there (well I actually got four pairs but that just shows how impulsive I am, oops). All four of the ones I got are out of stock (story of my life during lockdown) so I've linked the pic above with similar ones, and they're so cheap. I literally live in these glasses now, and they have definitely made a difference. A big must have for anyone who stares at screens a lot throughout the day.
3. Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Lotion
I am absolutely living for this weather rn, pretending I'm on hols in Italy and all that. It's helping me justify buying summer clothes, even though I'm litro just wearing them in my garden. But who said you can't dress cute to sit in the sun (just trying to convince myself this next ASOS haul is totally worth it and I'm not just addicted to online shopping lol). But anyways back to the moisturiser, not to big myself up or anything but I smell like a cocoa dream on the daily. This stuff has left me with super hydrated and soft skin, which I think is so important when the sun is out because I don't want no dried out, crusty dusty skin haha. I am bad for jumping between different body moisturisers, but I would honestly buy this again and again. I picked this up in Home Bargs, one of my faves shops and I'm sorry to everyone who I've dragged there in the past with me while I put the most random, unnecessary things in me basket hehe. But I've found it on Superdrug and linked the pic for you if you want to try it and also smell like a cocoa dream with soft skin.
4. THE cutest TU yellow mules

While on the topic of buying more new clothes and shoes (my cupboards crying at the thought), I have to tell you all about my new babies from Sainsbury's. I saw these on our weekly shop and had to put them straight into my basket. Full on summer hols vibes and I'm obsessed! They're so light and SO comfy. The colour is what made my head turn and I got so excited when I saw them. Also, they had 25% off in the TU section so I got them for £7.50. Like if that's not meant to be then I don't know what is. I bought a playsuit of ASOS and the colours match perfectly. I will definitely be getting my fair share of wear out of these pretty babies and I can't wait to wear them again already, even though I've just taken them off.
The next three products I got while on our weekly shopping trip to Aldi. Gran has always been obsessed with the middle aisles in Aldi, so usually she goes off to nose at the random bits and I go around getting the food. But, now with the new rules during lockdown we've been going around together. I usually don't pay much attention while she's having a browse but this one day something caught my eye and it was all the new skincare products that had come in and I just had to pick up these next products I'm about to chat about.
5. Lacura Micellar & Hyaluronic Daily Cleansing Pads
These I was drawn to because they had both Micellar & Hyaluronic in them. I usually use a normal cotton pad and just put the Garnier micellar water on there and wipe all over my face and neck as the first step before doing my makeup (made a habit of doing this after seeing Jamie Genevieve doing it). But when I saw these I just had to get them (only £2.49 a pot). I just get one out of the pot and that's it, all done and ready to use. Hyaluronic is also supposed to be good for your skin so obvs I didn't need to think twice about trying these. I've checked and they are now out of stock offline (sad times) but, I've still linked them for you huns just in case they come back into stock.
6. Lacura Reusable Makeup Remover Pads
These! Omg, I’m obsessed. My face has loved life every single day I’ve used these. I normally use a flannel to wash my face, but I cannot stress enough how amazing these pads are in comparison. They are so soft, and the thickness is just lush. I like to use these to get the product off (both facial wash and cleanser) when I'm washing my face. I know that's not really what I'm supposed to use them for, but I like the way they leave my skin feeling using them like this. When I googled these to see if they're available to buy online unfortunately these are sold out online too :( but, I found similar ones on Boohoo. I'll link them here for you.
7. Lacura Pink Clay Face Mask
I thought I would leave the best for last. I have seen the Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask floating around Social Media, and especially Instagram for a few weeks but couldn't justify paying £30 for a face mask (unlike Auntie Lisa who did so I want to try that next time she's home and compare them + obvs write a post about it). So, when I saw this in the middle aisles in Aldi I was over the moon. For £5.99 I grabbed it off the shelf and put it in the trolley quicker than my sister necks back a bottle of milk (and that's saying something). I've used this 4 times now since buying it and I have been so impressed every time with how it's left my skin feeling. It's definitely left me with brighter skin, shrunk my pores (woo hoo) and most importantly has witch hazel in it. If you read my last post, you'll know I think witch hazel is the best thing since sliced bread so this is a winner for me. (If you didn't see my last post you can read it here :))
Well that's all my faves for this month. Let me know if you've enjoyed this post and want to see more of them every month. For now tho, thank you for reading this and I'll speak to you all again next week with a new post which I haven't really thought about yet to be honest. Stay safe, and let's hope for some more positive news soon.
